Cooking Pasta!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I live off pasta and that without it, I actually get withdrawal symptoms.

Inspired by a slightly random tip I found on Big Green Switch, I have decided to try a little experiment!

The Hypothesis

That I can cook about 150g of spaghetti (Sainsbury's own label economy) without a hob.

The Method

I will try two methods.  The first will be to boil the water in a kettle and then leave the pasta for 18 hours in the water.  The second will be to leave the pasta in cold water for 18 hours.

Expected Results

Well I don't really expect much to happen with the cold water method - that's more of a control.  The other one I think might work although I may have to finish it off on a hob.  We shall see!
