About Us: How do you decide which products to include?

Well, this is the most difficult question a site like ours faces. We want to have lots of interesting products. We also want to be exclusive to the products we think fit our criteria. We fully expect that some people will disagree with our choices and we've tried to keep the criteria quite loose because we think it's your choice what you buy. We have two important interests - social and environmental sustainability. If we feel that the product can in some way make your lifestyle more socially or environmentally sustainable then we feel that this product should be listed. We want the standard to become more strict as technology advances though. This means that a product like a compost bin which is currently made in normal plastic but because it is for composting, it leads to more sustainable lifestyles, will in the future be excluded unless it is also made from recycled plastic or another material. We welcome all feedback on our decisions - please hold us accountable.
