The story
It all started in 1985. Thury and her husband Gunnar, bought 'Hvammur' farm, located in north-west Iceland. Thury's dream was to continue a long family tradition of producing special herbal creams and remedies. Taer is produced according to Thury's recipes which have been passed down through the generations. Not surprisingly, these potent formulas offer something very special indeed.

Thury's unique formulations rely on the purest natural ingredients. Hvammur was officially certified 'organic' by the Reykjavik Ecological Institute over ten years ago. The herbs she uses have earned the highly sought after Organic Produce of Iceland label. These herbs are hand-picked and occur naturally on the farm. Limited quantities are produced each year, ensuring the highest level of quality. The main, essential herbal extract is yarrow, renowned for its outstanding anti-ageing, repairing, healing and nourishing properties, also helping reduce the risk of skin allergies. Other key ingredients include chickweed, calendula, lemon peel, lady's mantle, lavender oil, frankincense, mayweed, chamomile, creeping thyme and lemon balm.
