This study desk has a tiny footprint, both in terms of carbon and living space. The desk measures a compact 74 x 50 x 73cm high but has two work tops allowing you to close away your lap-top and providing a second work area. Cables are kept neat by exiting through holes in the back of the desk so your laptop can be charging even when the top desk is closed.
Complete with storage boxes and cork board the desk is perfect for all ages, as a study desk for children through to a laptop or writing desk.
Environmental Credentials: Produced in London from reclaimed office furniture that would otherwise end up in land fill or FSC birch ply. Storage boxes handmade from FSC solid timber off-cuts that were destined for the skip.
Practical pin-board made from environmentally friendly cork, which is a sustainable material as it is harvested without damaging the tree therefore providing a renewable resource.
Choose the reclaimed chipboard version to lower your carbon footprint by avoiding the embodied energy in new timber and transporting products from aboard, as well as diverting waste from landfill. Reclaimed chipboard panels come with a wide variety of old fixtures, fittings, holes and blemishes. Whilst we will make every effort to minimise this and ensure that the good face of the board is used for the desk tops some surface blemishes may occur on the finished product.
If chipboard is not your bag, then the FSC birch ply version is a modern option while still ensuring environmentally sensitive materials, finishes and production techniques are employed.
Height of the bottom desk is 65cm. It is advisable to use an adjustable chair when working at any desk to achieve your most comfortable working position.
