The Circle Bowl (inspired by the Impressionist Movement) has a newspaper inner shell that is lacqured to make it waterproof and easy to clean, with an outer shell of small circles made from newspaper, print paper and magazines to create the design.
You can choose the colour of the inside bowl from either burnt orange, natural or rosa (see image 3).
You can either have your Bowl as a solely decorative piece, or you can use them as a handy and fun fruit/snack bowl for your home, as they are strong but very light and easy to wipe and keep clean.
Each Bowl is made to order, so please allow between 14 and 21 days for delivery.
Diana Kalungi graduated from Kingston University with a degree in Product and Furniture Design in the Summer of 2005.
Mezzi came about as a way of adding work to her portfolio that reflected the kind of designer that she was. She used traditional and modern techniques to bring a different look to exciting products.
During her studies Diana was made aware of the impact on the environment by designers. Diana tried to see what part she could play, as a designer in training, to help the environment.
After University, Diana had two work placements with a lighting designer, Sharon Marston and a Textile Designer, Ella Doran. During this time Diana developed her bowls, which led to lampshades and hopefully more designs in the future.
Diana has thoroughly enjoyed creating these products and hopes you enjoy having them in your home.
