This book is packed with extremely practical and easily carried out ideas on how to live a greener lifestyle. It is full of sensible advice. Homemaking, transport, food, going on holiday, gardening, even weddings and funerals are some of the items covered.
It is very easy to read but this doesn't mean that it is uninformative. You will learn why it is so very important for all of us to start making even small changes to the way we live every day.
Each of the 14 chapters is written in understandable terms so you don't need a science degree to understand how certain chemicals are affecting our planet. If the hundreds of tips and ideas are not enough for you then you can turn to the last chapter where there are listings of the many organisations mentioned in this book and their web addresses.
Friends Of The Earth are setting a good example in this book as the paper used for the text pages is made from de-inked 100% post consumer waste.
