These waterproof bags are made from re-used juice packs from the Philippines. The packaging comprises non-biodegradable foil and plastic that would otherwise go into landfill sites and incinerators.
They are made by a women's cooperative, near Manila as part of an environmental project with the aim of 'cleaning and greening' the local neighbourhood.
The bags are fairly traded to ensure fair pay and working conditions for all the women in the co-operative. When you buy one of these bags you are helping to improve the lives of the workers and their families.
They are currently available in five funky flavours - Mixed Jungle Juice (green trim with two different animals per bag), Milk-O (blue trim), Fun Chum Orange (orange trim), Fun Chum Mixed Fruits (pink trim) and Mango Jungle Juice (giraffe design with blue trim) - just take your pick from the drop-down menu below!
