Angelique skincare and organic cotton gifts for babies and children have been lovingly developed by two friends, Kim Jacob and Leonieke Kormelink. They not only want the best for their babies and children, but yours as well.
Through our own experience of motherhood they believe in the strong sense of parental bonding brought about by touch and smell. It has been proved that children have a very acute sense of smell from birth.
With this in mind they spent a long time making sure that the blend of aromatic essential oils used throughout the range had a positive effect on both parent and child. They also know that babies massaged regularly benefit from enhanced feelings of security and love. This led them to develop the Angelique massage balm and moisturiser.
Babies and children deserve the finest and most beneficial skincare products. As 60% of what we put on skin is absorbed, Angelique's products are packed with natural active ingredients and are free from potentially harmful PETROLEUM JELLY, MINERAL OIL, SLS, PARABENS and SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCES.
Their moisturiser contains a nutrient rich blend of six botanical oils including almond oil, starflower oil and avocado oil. These are infused with aloe vera gel, chamomile extract and vitamin E to help soothe, smooth, moisturise and protect the skin.
Angelique's massage balm has high levels of a special gel extracted from extra virgin olive oil and shea butter. The olive oil gel is rarely used in skincare as it is an expensive raw material. This product is nutrient rich making it excellent for a bonding parent and baby massage.
These two products are also very beneficial during pregnancy, the balm in particular helps prevent stretch marks and is fragranced with safe aromatic oils. High levels of nutrient rich oils ensure Angelique's moisturiser and balm prove to be a natural way of helping in the treatment of skin complaints such as very dry skin, cradle cap and eczema.

BRAND HISTORY
Angelique skincare and organic gift range has been developed after years of research and knowledge.
Both Kim and Leonieke have many years experience as experts in their previous professions but most importantly as being experienced mothers. Kim was a celebrity make-up artist, skincare expert and later a product developer for French Connection and Bayan SPA's. Leonieke profession was as a children's wear designer. This wealth of knowledge plus motherhood led them to invest their own money and time into developing such a loving and caring range.
Kim's passion for holistic and alternative treatments for herself and her family, together with a natural instinct to massage her children from an early age, led her to develop the skincare range.
'I learnt that through daily massage there grew a powerful and loving bond between myself and my children. I still regularly massage Oliver's (12y) tired legs after a game of football or rugby. My daughter Alice (7y) will often still ask for a massage at night-time'.
It is proved that massaging your babies brings many benefits including improved sleep patterns and strengthened feelings of security. For fathers this is also a great way to get closer to their babies.
