Grembo's mission is to provide a space for babies where all the material they touch is pure and free of chemical irritants. They believe that protecting the surroundings of babies from harmful or abrasive substances is a birthright and is beneficial to their wellbeing. Being of European heritage, they have always used sleep bags. Now that the 'sleeping bag' concept is becoming popular in the US, Grembo have been able to produce their sleeping bags in extraordinary organic cotton fabric.
In a way, the Grembo Bags are truly like a second womb, offering warmth, soft pure surroundings and a sense of security and wellbeing.
Choosing the Right Thermal Weight
Grembo Bags come in three thermal weights. It is important that you choose the appropriate thickness so that your baby does not overheat. No additional blankets will be required. Consider your heating and air-conditioning preferences when choosing which Grembo Bag is right for your baby.
Winter Grembo Bags are two layers of organic cotton filled with hypo-allergenic polyester batting, an inert substance that we chose because it offers the best function for warmth and laundering. Organic cotton lines each winter bag, so there is no direct contact between your baby and the fill. This is an insulating bag. It should be used in cool weather conditions in a room that is not over-heated.
Fall/Spring Grembo Bags are constructed with two layers of organic cotton. One layer is a thick knit fabric, and the other is a brushed woven. The woven provides structure while the knit layer ensures warmth and softness. This thermal weight can be used in a wide seasonal range depending on your heating and air-conditioning preferences.
Summer Grembo Bags are constructed with two layers of high thread count woven organic cotton. A lace inset allows for additional ventilation. This thermal weight is best used in warm conditions.
Sizing
It is important to choose the right size Grembo Bag. If the bag is too large, the baby's head might be smaller than the neck opening, if the GremboBag is too small your child will feel bound and uncomfortable. Choose from the following sizes.

FAQ GREMBO BAGS
Q: How do I wash Grembo Products?
A: To maintain the natural quality of the fabric, It is recommended to wash it with baking soda or non-chlorine bleach earth friendlier laundry products. Please consider drying with low heat or line drying.
Q: Are Grembo Bags safe?
A: Yes. If the Grembo Bag fits properly and is the right thermal weight, it is one of the safest ways to put your baby to sleep. The First Candle/SIDS Alliance has joined the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Consumer Products Safety Commission and the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development in recommending the use of wearable blankets over traditional blankets in the crib to reduce the danger of suffocation in the crib.
In addition, the natural fibres of Grembo Bags ensure that the sleep space is as pure as the baby it holds.
Q: At what age can I start using Grembo Bags?
A: You can use Grembo Bags with newborns as long as you use the appropriate size and thermal weight. The important thing is that your baby's head be larger than the neck opening so that his or her face does not slip into the bag.
Q: Where do I use a Grembo Bag?
A: For young babies who do not crawl or walk, it is safe to use the Grembo Bag as a garment as there is no danger that the baby will trip and fall.
As soon as a baby begins to by mobile and 'pull-up' it is safest to use Grembo Bags in the crib with the rails up.
Q: How does the reverse placed zipper work?
A: When open, the Grembo Bag is put on much like a little vest. Instead of zipping up, you will latch the zipper at the top and zip it down. To latch the zipper, you fold back the zipper protector and proceed as if you where zipping a jacket. The reverse-placed zipper keeps the metal components away from your baby's face and makes it hard for your baby to get out of the Grembo Bag.
Q: Should I get a side zipper Grembo Bag or a front zipper design?
A: It depends on the age and agility of your baby. It is recommended to use the side-zipper design for younger babies, since it opens wider. The baby can be laid flat onto the open bag and zipped and snapped in with no disturbance. However, older babies will potentially open the upper snaps and crawl out of the bag. Accordingly the side zipper bag is offered only in sizes extra small, small and medium.
Q: What kinds of dyes are used on your colored products?
A: No dyes are used. At this time all our coloured cotton is Colour Grown. The colors of the cotton range from white to green, as well as many colours of tan and brown and even charcoal grey.
