A beautiful handmade and fairly traded baby dress made from printed cotton in two floral designs - made by a small family run business in Jaipur, India.
A vintage style dress that is perfect for all seasons and occassions. The dress is full tiered and fully lined.
Available in sizes 6-12 months, 12-18 months, 18-24 months, and 2-3 years. Either in rose floral (image 1) or peach/mint floral (image 2).
Piccalilly is a new breed of socially consciou clothing and accessories. They aim to produce stylish products on a fair trade basis and, where possible, to use organic cotton and sustainable production techniques.
Piccalilly are delighted to introduce this modern range of Fair Trade Mark and 100% organic cotton clothing and accessories. Their cotton is sourced through the CHETNA project in India - supporting over 1500 small farmers. Their organic range also carried the Fair Trade Mark - a guarantee that cotton producers in India are getting a better deal and improving their livelihoods.
Piccalilliy's certified organic cotton is certified through SKAL and carries the EKO logo, guaranteeing no synthetic chemical pesticides or fertilizers have been used. The cotton is screen printed by hand using low impact SKAL approved dyes and at no stage of the process is formaldehyde, solvents, toxic chemicals, chlorines or azodyes used. All poppers are nickel free.
Piccalilly's are dedicated to producing sustainable products, however the current market for organic cotton is in short supply and not easily accessed by small garment producers. We have therefore decided, for the time being to support some small suppliers who use conventional cotton. Our long term aim is to help them tap into the organic cotton market and work with them towards sustainable production and best practice.
